Terrible app and account retrieval procedure.
😁 First I love the small compactness of it. It makes traveling so easy. I bring the Joule unit, container, lid, seasonings and plastic bags with me on trips. I set it up at the hotel or resort using Bluetooth and take off having fun. I come back to a wonderfully cooked tri-tip or stake, sear it in a pan and throw a salad together and done. What an amazing meal. 😬 The bad news: the app is very basic. It works but no extras. There is no function to set a later time for it to start automatically...
the app says its connected to wifi but then says it isnt and won't use the auto-start timer
I am unable to log into my Joule using my Chefsteps password (which gets me on the website) and though being willing to reset my Joule password - the reset link is dead. My Joule is useless!! No response from Joule support.
Connectivity SUCKS!
So far so good! Probably one of those apps where most of the people using it have good experiences and never feel too compelled to leave a review. I was really skeptical about liking this. I thought the app would be intrusive, unnecessary, and prevent me from having manual control that I have come to appreciate in an increasingly automated world. But no! You can control it manually too! Cool little recipes as well. Trust the recommended temps. 14# is fine for chicken if held long enough
When trying to connect via Bluetooth it says I need to download the app. But I am on the app when trying to do this. Urgh.
Keeps on unpairing
It's overpriced because of the connection issues
really wish there was the option to save custom times and stuff in the app, like bone marrow or such.
